Ruth Connell, a Scottish talent born on April 20, 1979, has made her mark in theatre, television, and film, most notably for her portrayal of Rowena in The CW's hit series 'Supernatural'. EARLY LIFE
Ruth's journey began in Falkirk, where she was born and later near Bonnybridge where she grew up . As the sole child of football manager and coach David Connell and teacher Fiona. At the tender age of four, Ruth Connell began her journey into the world of dance, initially joining in to keep her cousin company. Her innate talent was undeniable, paving the way for her inclusion in the prestigious Scottish Ballet's Vocational Dance Education Scheme. As part of the Scottish Ballet ensemble, Ruth embraced a variety of child roles, most notably the character of Clara in the beloved ballet, 'The Nutcracker'. Her exceptional abilities were recognized as she earned the esteemed titles of Scottish Junior Ballet Champion and Scottish Senior Ballet Champion, marking her prominence in Stage Festivals throughout Scotland during her formative years.


EARLY CAREER
Ruth's dance career saw her perform with "The Curve Foundation", "Jazz Art UK", and alongside Leah Stein at "Dancebase" in Edinburgh. Her journey through the performing arts led her to the prestigious Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London, where she honed her craft and graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Acting. In 2007, Ruth captivated audiences as the ballroom dancer "Lily" in the Citizens Theater's hit production of Alex Norton's "No Mean City." The following year, she garnered acclaim for her portrayal of both Mrs. Beaver and Mrs. McReady in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" at The Royal Lyceum Edinburgh.

By 2009, Ruth secured a spot as a series regular on the ITV sitcom pilot "Above Their Stations," alongside Denis Lawson, Ashley Madekwe, Andrew Brooke, and Simon Dudley, which aired on BBC 3.

During the same period, Ruth took on the role of producer for the plays "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Hansel and Gretel" at the Avenue Theatre Company in Greenwich. 

After relocating to the United States in 2011, She starred in the short film "Sapphire Strange" and the web series "John and Jane." Ruth landed leading roles in the critically acclaimed indie film "Folklore," and feature films "The Cursed Man," adapted from Keith Rommel's cult novel, and Aitch Alberto's "Hara Kiri."
